About Me
I am Ivar de Graaf, born on May 20, 2002, in Middenbeemster. I have always had a fascination for computers, mobile phones, and other ICT equipment, even at a young age. I still remember receiving the nickname “iVar” in primary school because of my skilled assistance with ICT problems. I surprised teachers with my knowledge of tasks such as program installations and solving presentation issues.

Education and Career
During my high school years between 2015 and 2019 at SG Newton in Hoorn, I completed several internships at reputable companies such as Fujitsu and Solvinity. Additionally, I interned at Blue ICT in Zwaag, where I performed minor laptop and desktop repairs and various other ICT tasks.
After completing high school, I pursued the Medewerker ICT (ICT Assistant) program at Nova College in Beverwijk. During my studies, I gained practical experience through an internship at Leerbedrijf Zebra.
Currently, I am enrolled in the Cloud and Infrastructure Technician program at ROC van Amsterdam. Here, I am learning about cloud computing, virtualization, and network management. I am motivated to further explore data centers and cloud computing and hope to work in this sector in the future.
Hobbies
My IT hobby quickly turned into a passion, and I started building my own server at home. It was a challenge, but I enjoyed expanding my knowledge and learning how to set everything up. It took a while to get everything working smoothly, but eventually, I had my own server up and running at home.
On my server, I host not only my own website but also various other applications and services. I use it as a sandbox to experiment with new technologies and explore different software tools.
The experience gained from setting up my own server and hosting my own website was invaluable. It not only provided me with the opportunity to learn and experiment but also allowed me to assist others with their IT projects. It has truly been a great way to develop myself and expand my knowledge.
I have already learned a lot from tinkering with my server and hosting my own website. It has provided me with a deep understanding of how networks function and how to manage different systems. This knowledge has proven valuable in my IT studies, where I am ahead of many of my peers.
Nickname
When I was young, around the age of four or five, I returned from a wonderful vacation in Italy and couldn’t stop talking about all the beautiful things I had seen and experienced there. My classmates and teachers were intrigued by my stories, but one teacher, in particular, stood out.
That was my favorite teacher in primary school, Mrs. Annette. She had always been interested in my love for Italy and my constant talk about it, so one day she decided to give me a nickname that reflected my passion. From that day on, I was known as “Ivario” among my classmates and teachers.
As the years went by, I realized that I wasn’t entirely sure of the reason behind my nickname. It could be because of my love for Italy, or it could be because my parents owned an Opel Vivaro van, and as a young child, I often talked about the trips and adventures we had in that car. Or it could be a combination of both.
